Located on the shores of Little Beaver Lake (just over an hour south of Edmonton and approximately 20 minutes south of the City of Camrose on Highway 21) Ferintosh is a quiet residential community with approximately 200 residents. Here in Ferintosh, the residents work together to retain a small town charm where the pace is relaxed and the neighbors are friendly.
Offering up many recreational opportunities, Little Beaver Lake is open to kayakists and canoeists alike and a quiet campground is located on the shores. In the winter, sledders can be seen travelling across the frozen lake as they enjoy a day of fun and adventure.
Abundant forested areas and wetlands surrounding the lake ensure that bird watching is excellent and wildlife can be seen wandering through the Village. Residents of Ferintosh work with the wildlife to maintain perfect harmony.
Many residents enjoy walking the nature trails down by the lake and campground where the chickadees are so friendly they will often eat out of your hand. There is nothing quite like the thrill of placing a few sunflower seeds in the palm of your hand and having the chickadees land to enjoy
The Village of Ferintosh provides municipal services, utilities and public works. Local businesses include an ATB Branch, Ferintosh Hotel and Café, Ferintosh Manor Bed and Breakfast, Guest House Gallery and Framing & Tammy Lynn’s Family Massage Therapy.
